CURE FOR INFLUENZA.
TO THE EDITOR,
Sir,— As many at the present time are suffering from influenza, I should be glad if you would find space in your largely circulated paper for the following from the TFar Cry of Dec. 11, 1897. —I am, Ac., PRO BONO PUBLICO.
[enclosure.] “To the Editor of the War Cry. Dear Sir, —I know a simple cure for influenza; found it out after two doctors failed to do me any good. I decided to try something on my own account. -Studied microbes while lying on my back on the sofa. Knowing sulphur would destroy insect life on or in the skin, decided to give my influenza microbes a dose at night, and see how they liked it. Took a small teaspoonful in half a tumbler of milk. Was ever so much better in the morning. Took two smaller doses the two following nights. Result —A complete cure. Scores of people have tried it. It has cured everyone I know of. I told a doctor about it. He said: ‘ Strange ! your experience and mine agree. I practice on an island; the natives took influenza; all my usual remedies were used up. I did not know what to do, so used sulphur-, and, strange to say, not one I gave the sulphur to died.’ I consider ,tbe position proved beyond-a doubt.— l am, &c., Auxiliary.”
