WELLINGTON, Sept. 7,

As tho Eufthine will not arrive till tomorrow, the opportunity will be taken to combine a welcome to the contingent with the demonstration in the Premier’s honour. The men will land with Mr Seddon from the Takapuna at the breastwork, and will take part in the procession. In the evening there will be a “ social" in their honour.

[From Our Correspondent.] The Hon J. Al’Kenzie was confined to his house to-day, but his indisposition is only slight, and he fully expects to take part in the reception of Mr Seddon.
