; A fisherman, named Patrick Morris, has been- .committed, for trial on. a charge, ;.of having, oh - Saturday night, assaulted Mrs: Sarah Cameron, in Gladstone Road; and robbed her.of'JßlO 16s. Mrs Cameron deposed that accused accosted her: in- the street about idne o’clock at night. She said' ,that be had made a mistake, but he followed her and presently swung his arm round, struck her and knocked-her down. Accused ran away and she found that her pocket had been turned inside out.. Her pocket contained ten .-SI notes and about 16s in silver, the notes being tied together in a roll. The notes, silver and her handkerchief had all gone. Morris was arrested as he was leavingjor Napier, and eleven ill notes in a roll were found inside his shirt.
