PRESENTATIONS.

Mr Barry Qnane, lately of the firm of Messrs Chrystall and Co., who is leaving-to commence business in Christchurch as general merchant and commission agent, was. On Monday, presented'with two handsome gifts. The presentation .took place at the firm’s warehouse. Mr Chrystall presented Mr Quane with a gold chronometer, and expressed the regret felt at losing his services. He stated that, Mr Quaite hdd hold the responsible of bead of the sales department for a number of years, and had given entire satisfaction to his principals. Mr W. Bruce, on behalf of the employes of the firm, then presented him with a piece of plate as a memento of the cordial relations that had always existed between him and them. Mr Quane enters on his new venture with the best of good wishes for his success.

On Monday afternoon the employes of the Lyttelton Times jobbing and machine departments met for the purpose of bidding farewell to Mr H. D. Freeman, who is leaving for the North Island. The foreman, Mr West, presented Mr Freeman with a gold albert, suitably inscribed, and Heartily Wished him success wherever he went. Mr Freeman replied, thanking his fellowemployes for their gift and their expressions of goodwill towards him.
