[Pee Press Association.'] MELBOURNE, April 5. At the cycling sports hold for the benefit of Porta, the Italian cyclist, the chief races resulted as follow: —Two-mile Handicap—Harris 1, Parsons 2, Greenwood 3. Won by a wheel. Time—4min 223 sec M’Lean fell in the race and interfered with Parsons. Half-mile Scratch Harris 1, Parsons 2, Porta 3. Won by half a wheel Time—lmin 14-*-sec. In the Parsons and Porta matches the Half-mile * was won by Parsons by half a wheel. Time—lmin 18|sec. The Mile Race was won by Porta by a few inches in 2min 2sec. The Twomile Race Parsons won easily in 4min 36| ; sec. D. Walker gave a quarter-mile exhibition, in which he beat Zimmerman’s record of 30*sec by two and three-fifths seconds. ADELAIDE, April 5. At the cycling carnival Martin, the American, won the Mile and a Half Firstclass Race and fell in two others. All the other competitors were local men.
