EANGIOEA. There was a satisfactory attendance at the Eacgiora market yesterday, and a fair volume or business was done. The live stock entry comprised 2000 sheep, 30 cattle and 67 pigs. The biddings throughout the day for all classes of stock showed on improvement, and the market was all but cleared at the following prices : —Prime fat sheep 13s 6d, 14s to 15s, medium do 11s to 12s 6d, cross-bred turnipers 83 6d to 10s, good store lambs 7s 6d to 8j 3d, medium do 4i 6d to 6s Gd, cross-bred ewes in lamb 83 6d to 10s, old .do 6s 6d to Bs, merino ewes in lamb 4a lOd to 5s 6d; cattle—beef (good quality) equal to 23s per 1001 b, medium 18i to 203, springers £5 to £7, yearlings 30s to £2, bad-conditioned do 15s to 20s; pigs—baconers, heavy weights 283 to 355, do lightweights 24s to 265, porkers 15a to 20s, good stores 7s to 9s, good weaners 4a to 5s fid, In tho produce department prices were —Butchers’cross-bred sheepskins 3s 3d to 3s Bd, do merino 2s 3d to 2a 9d, farmers’ lines to 4a 6d, light do 2a 3d to 3s 4d, merinos Is ,5d to 2a 6d, pelts and late shorn skins 9d to Is 3d, rough fat 12a per cwt, rendered do 16a to 17a, hides at full rates. PoultryHens Is 3d to Is 6d per pair, rooatera Is 6d to 2s, turkeys, gobblers 10s, hens 5a to 6?, ducks 3s, geese ss; ohiokwheat 2s to 2s 9d per bushel, oats la 6d to Is 9d, barley 2a 4d, beans 2s 6d, blue peas 2s 6d, other aorta 2a 9d, oatshaaf chaff 50s per ton, sharps 6s 6d per bag, bran 3s 6J, pigmeal 6s 6d, flour (stone) 17s, do (roller) 20s, potatoes 2s 6d to 3a 3d, onions 4s per cwt, carrots Is 3d, apples 23 6d to 3s case of 401 b, cheese 4d per lb. TINWALD. An unusually good lot of sheep was offered for sale at Tinwald yesterday, the quality all round being much above the average. For lambs, and ewes in lamb, the market was good, but for turnip sheep the demand was not so keen as it was last week, and prices were, if anything, a trifle lower. The entry of cattle was small and cf poor quality. Tha following prices were obtained : Fat Sheep— Cross-breds, medium quality, 6s to 9s 6d; merino wethers 6s 9d, 7s. Stores —Crossbred lambs 5s 8d to 83 lid, do ewes in lamb 6s 2d to 11s 6d, merino ewes ia lamb 2s 3d to 4s sd, good turnip sheep 83 to 10s 6d, freezers 10s 9d to-12s 6d. Cattle—No prime beef was on offer, and prices for the few cows submitted were low.
