1 TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—The shareholders will be called upon to-morrow to elect two auditors. In previous years thd proxies controlled by directors have had much to do with the decision. Considering that the accounts are the. sequence of the policy initiated by the Board of Directors, it is manifestly in bad taste to exercise their proxies, and it would be much fairer to leave the appointment to the meeting.—l am, Ac., July 12, 1895.
