Reeves says the statement that he sent a telegram to the Auckland meeting urging that a Minister should go up and try to heal the breach, ia a mistake. Ha never sent such a message. - The Trades Conncil supports Mr Pawous for Auckland, and hopes that ha will be returned. Tbe committee of the Central Labour and Liberal Council met to-night and drafted? a manifesto to issue to the Government and Trades Unions throughout the colony. The manifesto gives all the telegrams from the Government, urging the formation of the Council to obviate a split such as occurred at the general election, and shows the recognition of the Council all along. The balance of the labour fighting fund, left over from the last election, will be handed to Mr Fawcus
