RIFLE SHOOTING.

KAIAPOI RIFLES v. N BATTERY. On Saturday afternoon a rifle match was fired at Lyttelton between teams representing the Kaiapoi Rifles and the N Battery of Artillery. The weather was rather cold, and an unsteady south-west wind waa blowing across the range. At the 500yds range it became bo flukey that several well-known shots experienced the greatest difficulty in keeping on the target. The visitors were victorious by 34 points.
