It proposes taking eight whites and six natives. The whites will probably be Udal, Allardyce, Caldwell, Collins, M’Qwan, Groom, Joske and Abrahams. A match betweeen the Ashburton and Geraldine Cricket Clubs was played on the Oval, Geraldine, on Wednesday. The former iu two innings scored 64 and the latter 109, Geraldine thus gaining the victory by 45 runs.
