SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND PAT. There was a good attendance of the trade at the sales of sheepskins, hides and fat yesterday, but bidding was somewhat slack, and it was with difficulty that last week’s values were maintained in skins, especially for merinos. Hides, calfskins and fat are without alteration. Mr P. 0. Tabart sold 2768 skins, 35 hides and 63 packages fat at the following prices Beat half-breds ss, 5s Bd, 5a 4d, 5s 7d to 6a id, medium do Ss 9d upwards; best longwools ss, Ss 3d, Ss 7d, 6s to 6s 7d, medium do 4s upwards; beat merinos 3s 9d, 4s, 4s 8d to 4s 6d, medium do 2s 9d upwards j lambs 7d to lid; pelts 6d; dry cross-breds up to 5s 6d; dry merinos up to 4a 4d; rough fat lid, lid, l|d to Ifd psr lb. Messrs Lowry and Co. sold 1200 skins, 16 hides and 40 packages fat at the following’ pricesßest half-breds 4a lOd to 5s lid, medium do4s 8d to 4s lOd; best longwools 5s 5d to 6s 9d, medium do 4a lOd.to 5s 4d; best merinos 4s 7d, medium do 2s lid to 3s sd; lambs 9d; pelts 3d; dry crossbreds 4|d per lb, rough fat (per lb) lid to lid. The tone of the market was very good for country skins, and abouc last week’s rates were obtained for butchers’ consignments. Messrs Todhunter and Jennings sold a large entry of skins, hides and fat at the following prices: Best halfbreds 5s 3d to 6s 6d, medium do 4s 6d to 5.:; best longwools 5s 4d to 6s sd, medium do 4a 3d to 4s lid; best memos Ss 3d to 4s 6d; lambs 8d to 9d ; dry crossbreds 3s to 4s 6d; dry merinos 2a Id to 2s lOd; rough fat l|d to Ifd per list. There was a splendid sale. HOESB SALES. The usual sale of horses was held at Tattersall’s on Saturday. Mr E. G, Staveley reports a fair entry and current values as follows Heavy draughts £l2 to £l9, light do £l4 to £lB, light harness £lO to £l6, hacks £8 to £l4, inferior sorts £4 to £B, PIG AND POULTRY SALES. The attendance at the weekly sales of pigs and poultry on Saturday last was large. There was a very good demand for store pigs, and there was brisk competition for all classes of poultry, roosters being especially wanted. Mr H. B. Sorensen sold 67 pigs as follows;—Light porkers brought 18s to 22s 6d; stores, 12s 9d to I6s 6d; weaners, 6s to 9s 9d; breeding sows, 28a to 325. Ho also sold 690 head of poultry as follows Heavy roosters 3s 6d to 4s 9d, light 3s to 3a 3d; old hens, 2s 3d to 2s 9d; young hens, 3s to 3s 6d; ducks, 3s 6d to 5s 6d; geese, Sa to 6s. Messrs Wilson and Sons sold heavy baconers at 35s to 425; light do 30s to 345; heavy porkers, 25a to 27s 6d; light do, 18s to 20s; stores, 13g to 15s; weaners, 6a 9d to 9s ; breeding bows, 36s to 555. They also sold poultry at the following prices;— Heavy roosters, 4s to 4s 9d; light do, Ss 3d to 4s; old hens, 2s to 2a 6d; young hens, 2s 6d to 3s; ducks, 4s to 4s 3d ; geese, 4a 6d to 5s 3d; turkeys, cocks 16s per pair kens 8s per pair. ‘
