The full Court to-day delivered an important decision, holding that a prisoner who had been convicted twice of the same offenca should be discharged. The prisoner’s first conviction had been quashed on the ground that evidence had been allowed which was inadmissible, nevertheless, on the second trial he was again convicted. The Chief Justice differed from the view taken by the rest of the Court, and s>gued that the second conviction should held good.
