SOUTH WAIMAKARIRI RIVER BOARD.
An ordinary meeting of the South Waimskariri Elver Board was hold on Tuesday afternoon; present—»Mr W. Boag (Chairman), Messrs T. Wilson, J. Giauville, R. W, England, H. W. Peryman, J. 0. Atkinson, H. Crooks, and 0.. F. Money. OVEESEEU’s EEPOBT. The Overseer reported that there had been no floods in the river during the month. The river was running against Nos. 7,8, 10 and 11 embankments, but tves not likely to do any harm. The groins at Macon’s Fiat were in good condition. It would bo advisable to put in a small groin of willows, to cost about £3, above the groin at the Seveamile Peg. The fences round the plantations had been repaired. The report was received and adopted, with the recommendation to put in a small groin. After some discussion, the question of clearing the gorse from the Board’s reserves was referred to the new Board for consideration. After passing accounts amounting to £23 18s 4d, the meeting terminated.
