A CURIOUS CASE.

TO THE EDITOR. / : Sib,— Under this heading there; appears a telegraphic communication in- your issue of this morning regarding Dubbo Refrigerating Works, where - the and manager are mulcted in heavy penalties for slaughtering without a license. Now there are two such places in our midst—i.c., Belfast and Islington—where they not only kill without license, but retail the carcase by -the • quarter to all and sundry, and at such a price that tbe local tradesman, who has not only his license, but ao much per bead to pay as well, cannot compete with them. Trusting you will publish this in the cause of Liberalism, so that wa may have in future one law for all.—l am, &c., W. J. JACKSON.
