Considering the bleak weather yeiterday, there was a very good attendance at the Rangiora market, and a fair amount of business was done. At the Central Saleyards Mr W. fines (associated with the New Zealand Land Association) sold fat cross-bred sheep, 10s 6d to 13s 6df hoggets, 9s 8d to 10s 63j beef,'equal to 22b 6d per 1001 b; milch coira, to J6B ; two-and-a-half-year-old cattle, £6 to £5 10s; pigs, porkers, £1 to £1 11s; small pigs, 7s to 8a 63. At the North Canterbury Saleyatds there was a medium entry. The auctfioneere represented were Messrs H. Matson and Co« (associated with the National M, and A. Company of N.Z., Limited), Pyne and 00., Miles and Co., Limited, A. P. Tutton, W. F. Joynt and Todhunter and Jennings. The prices were: Four-tooth wethers and maiden ewes, 10s 6d to 12s; two-tooths, 8s 93 to 10s 63; merino ewes and lambs, 6s; fat sheep, 11a 6d to 18s 6d; fat lambs, 6s 9ii to 7s 3d. Pigs; suckers, 8s 6d to 11s 6d ; stores. 12s to I7s; bacon pigs. 25a to 28s, Cattle, veal calves, 19a 6d; yearlings, 25t to 80s; two-year-olds, £2 8a; store cows. £3 to £4} springers, £6 to £7 17s 63; fat cows, £5 103 to £7; heifers, £i 17s 6d. There was a good entry of sheepskins, poultry, produce, &o. Sales were conducted at the Central Tards by Mr Buss, and at the North Canterbury Yards by Messrs Wilton and Sons, Miles and Co. and W, F. Joynt. The ruling prices were : —For sheepskins, large entry, merinos; 8s 43 to 4s 6d; oross-breds, 2s 9d to 3a 63 ; rough fat. Id per lb; wool in bags, 4d to 6£lb per lb ; locks and pieces, 2d to Sid; fowls, la 3d to 2a 4d per pair; ducks, 2s 6d to 3s; chickwheat, 2s to 2s 3d pee bushel; oats, 2s Id; flour, from 10s to 15s per sack; bran, 8s; sharps, ss. Owing to the broken weather lately prevailing, entries for the fortnightly stock sale at Amberley on Monday were not so large as is usually the case alb this season. There was a good attendance of buyers but the sales were limited and were effected at a decline on former prices,. Twotooth cross-bred ewes realised 9a lid, fourtooth croas-bred wethers (freezers) 13a 83, lighter sorts 11s 83, cross-bred hoggets 9s 43. The bulk of the lofca offered failed to find buyers. There was a large entry and a good attendance at the Ashburton yards yesterday, and the sale was brisker than for some weeks past. Prices were folly sixpence higher than those of last week and most lota offered found buyers. The following prices were obtained Sheep, about 4000 yarded; fat cross-bredei from 10s to 12s 9d; fat merino ewes, 7s to 7s Gd ; fat merino wethers 9s 3d to 10s, 2d; ’233 croaa-breds brought 12s; cross-bred, ewes and lambs in wool, 12s 6d ; cross-bred ewes and lambs, all counted, from 5s 3d to 7s 3d; 1700 cross-bred wether hoggets, 9s 4d; 830 do, mixed, 8s 6d; merino ewes and lambs, all counted, 2s 9d to <la.9d. Cattle, 22 yarded—Fat cows, £7 10s ; tat steer, £5 ISa ; fat heifer, A 6 ;6 yearlings, 42s 6d; milch cows, £5 to £5 10s ; springers, JE6 ss.
