Mr A, E. G. Rhodes, M.H.R., £3 3a for draught mare in foal or with foal at foot, bred by and the property of a bond fide farmer, not renting or owning moxo than 200 acres; £3 3s for a draught filly foaled rince June 30, 1892, bred by and th© property of a bond fide farmer, not renting or owning more than 200 acres; £2 2a for the first prize winner in section 14, Shorthorns; £2 2a for the best litter of pigs (with sow), of not less than aix, tha property of a bond fide farmer, not farming or owning more than 300 acres. Messrs Miles and Co. £5 Si for tho best ten cross-bred wethers suitable for tho frozen meat trade, not to exceed 701 b when properly dressed. The Canterbury Frozen Meat and Dairy Produce Export Company, Limited, cup for sheep for freezing purposes. Tha Christchurch Meat Company, Limited, a prize (not yet decided upon). Messrs Pyne and Co. a cup, value £5 5?, for the winner of tho most points in fat sheep. Messrs Coates and Co, a cup, value £5 sa, for the best Shorthorn cow, with two of her progeny; also, a cup, value £5 ss, for tho beet draught mare and two of her progeny. Mr A. Urquhavt a cup, value £2 2s, tor the winner of the greatest number of points in Lincoln sheep. The Press Company £5 5s for the dairy cow giving the largest quantity of milk at one milking, and which is considered best adapted for general purposes. The Now Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association £lO 10s for the best and most comprehensive collection of farm and dairy produce, grown by and manufactured by exhibitor. Mr G. Gould £5 Sa for 101 bof fresh butter made up ia rolls as supplied to the trade but without any imprint thereon ; to be made in a factory in Canterbury; the prize to bo distributed pro ratio amongst the hands engaged in the factory. The Lyttelton Times Company £5 for the beat sample of hams and bacon, not less than half-cwt each, cured by bond fide farmers, to be divided as follows :—First prize, £3; second, £2. New Zealand Insurance Company (Mr D. Craig, manager) £5, to be distributed as follows :—£l 10 i for the best amoked hams, £1 10s for the best unsmoksd hams, £1 for tho best smoked flitch bacon, £1 for the best uasmoked flitch bacon; in each case to be fed and cured by bond fide farmers, to be specified at time of entry. Mrs Deans, sen., £5 for the best cured butter, not less than 101 b, .made on farina not exceeding 200 acres, to bo apportioned aa follows :—Fm.t prize, £2; second, £1 10s; third £1; fourth, 10/. Sir John Had £5 5a as a first and second prize, £3 3a and £3 2s in Class 39, to the cow giving the greatest actual weight of huiber-fat at one milking. The Tai Tapu Dairy Factory Company, £3, to be awarded for factory-made cheese. Mr J. Gould, £2 2s, for the best, and £1 Is, for the second best loaf of home-made bread, uot less than 31b weight. Messrs Manning and Co.. £3 3s, for tha beat sample of malting barley, not less than three bushels, grown by exhibitor; the sample to be shown from the machine; no extra dressing of any kind allowed. In addition to the above, a number of special prizes in the light horse classes have already been acknowledged.
