DUMMYISM.

[Feb Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, March 16.

The Land Board Enquiry was resumed this morning, when the case of Mary Webber was taken. She gave evidence that she had leased Section 22, Block IV., Huiroa, but did not live on it. She borrowed the money from Hendy on the lease and used it for bush felling, grassing, and fencing. Hendy did not ask if she would transfer it to him. When she took up land she had not heard of Hendy. The reason why she did not go to live on the land was because there was no road to get to it. The examination is still going on.
