CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, March 13. (Before E. Westenra, M. S. Campbell and G. F. Martin, Esqa.) Drunkenness, &c. —A first offender was fined 5s and costs, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment.—Frederick Marriott, who did not appear, was lined 5s and costa for being drunk, in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment; 20s and costa for assaulting Mary Ana Crook, in default ninety-six hours’ imprisonment; and la and costa for damaging a fence to the amount of 27a. He wag also ordered to pay for the damage done.—-Thomas Richards was fined 10a and costs for being drunk, in default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. Alleged Larceny. Daniel Tini, a Maori aged about eighteen or nineteen, was charged with stealing, on March 10, at Little River, two five pound notes, one single note, and about 10s in eil ver, from the shop of Sydney Harris; also with stealing, on or about Dec. 27, 1893, at Little River, one English lover silver watch, value £4 10s, from the shop of J. J. Kissel. Mr Burgeaa appeared for accused, who, on the application of Sergeant-Major Mason, was remanded to appear at Little River to-morrow morning. (Before H. S. Wardell, Esq., R.M.) Civil Cases. Acton - Adams and Kipp'enbergsr v. J Boyd, claim .85 sa; judgment wa? given for plaintiffs by default.—H. A. Rout v. C. Hodges, claim £8 8s 3d; judgment summons. Mr Kippenberger for judgment creditor. The case was adjourned till May 15. LYTTELTON. Monday, Maech 13. (Before A. Chalmers, Esq.) Drunkenness, &e,—J. Polliuger waa fined lOj for being drunk, and 10s.'for committing a nuisance in London street. —J. Challiner waa fined as and costa for being drunk.
