THE MEMORIAL HOME.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—As a lady visitor to the Memorial Home, I cannot help expressing my surprise at noticing in your issue of June 23, that the Committee of the said Hpme had found the report, that the master and matron had been diucour*‘''Ous to lady visitors, &0., was true. I have visited the Home almost weekly for the past two years or more, and can positively say X have never seen or received a single act of discourtesy or unkindoess. I have visited the inmates, and know most of them, and they have, expressed themselves as being wall treated and as happy as they can be ; in fact, they look upon the matron as a mother. As far as I can see, no one could treat the old folks with greater consideration and kindness than the master and matron, and, at the same time, conform with the rules of the institution.—l am, &0., LILIAS E.
