ACCLIMATISATION.
[Tbit. Pukes Association.! WELLINGTON, June 24. The Wellington Acclimatisation Society intends to import further useful insectivorous sad game birds by every opportunity offering. A movement is on foot to ha.vcEapiti Island proclaimed a reserve for - birds, and tha Society., has already , placed half a dozen pheasants there. The Department of Fisheries of Now South Wales has ordered a further supply of 20,000 trout ova from the Masterton hatchery, and large additional orders for the West Coast have been received.
