A six-roomed house and dairy attached, on the outskirts of the town, belonging to Mr David Heron, were totally destroyed by fire last night. The insurances are in the New Zealand office, JEIGO on the house ahd jeiOO on the furniture. DUNEDffN, June 22.
A motion, that relief to ail able-bodied men should be in the form of work, was discuesed by the Benevolent Trustees to-day. This has been practically jke system in operation, and as it was deeuffa undesirable to make a hard and fast rule, the motion was rejected.
