ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[Pea Press Association.] TIMASTJ, June 21. Mr P. M'Queen, who had been a clerk on the Levels Estate of tho New Zealand and Australian Land Company for many years, was killed on the Wash dyke road, about five miles north of Timaru, last night. The horse ho was riding bolted and threw him, M'Queen landing on the hard metalled road and breaking bis neck. DUNEDIN, June 21. The man Webster, who attempted to cut his throat at Green Island a couple of months ago, disappeared from his house on Wednesday night, and has not been heard of since. He left home with tho avowed intention of visiting a friend’s house, but never went there, and no one has seen him since. Inquiry at the Hospital last night elicited the fact thet the lad Crosier, who fell down Ashby, Burgh and Co’s lift on Thursday morning, is still progressing favourably, and that the symptoms, so far, point to the probability of a complete recovery.
