PIGEON RACE.

The Christchurch Pigeon Plying Club had a race on Saturday from Winslow. The weather was all that could be desired. Twenty - three birds, divided amongst eleven lofts, competed, and the race was one of the most interesting yet held by the Club. The winning bird flew clean away from the rest, and the performance must be considered good, as it is only four months’ old. The next race will be flown at Easter from Culverdon. The Club has to thank the Stationmaster at Winslow for kindly acting as liberator. The following is the time of the placed birds:—
