Miscellaneous. DS J. COL LIS BEOWNE'B Original and Only Genuine OHLOEODYNE. COUGHS, COLDS, ASTHMA, BRONCHITIS. Dr J. Collia Browne’s Chlorodyne.—Dr J. C, Browne (late Army Medical Staff) Discovered a Remedy to denote which he coined the word Chic* rodyne. Dr Browne is the Sole Inventor, and, as the composition of Chlorodyne cannot possibly be discovered by analysis (organic substances defying elimination), and since tho formula has never been published, it is evident that any statement to the effect that a compound is identical with Dr Browne’s Chlorodyne must ho false. This caution Is necessary, as many persons deceive purchasers by false representations. Dr J. Collls Browne’s Chlorodyne.—Vice-Chon, oellor Sir W. Page Wood stated publicly in Court that Dr J. CoUis Browne was undoubtedly the Inventor of Chlorodyne, that the whole story of the defendant was deliberately untrue, and he re. ■retted to say it had been sworn to.—See the •‘Times,” July 13,1864. Neuralgia, tho Vomiting of Pregnancy, and as a general sedaUvo, that have occurred under nr personal observation during many years. In Choleraic Diarrhraa, and even in tho more terrible forms of Cholera itself, we have witnessed its sar. nrisimcly controlling power. We have never used any olher form of this medicine than Coliis Browne’s, from a firm conviction that it is decid adly the best, and also from a sense of duty we owe to the profession and tho public, as we are of opinion that tho substitution of any other than ColPa Browne’s is, a deliberate breach of faith on the part of the chemist to prescriber and patient alike, —We ore.
