EASTER HOLIDAYS.
TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —It is generally understood that at one school, and at one only., it has been decided to give the boys no holiday on Easter Monday. Should such be the case, it will indeed be very hard—hard upon the boys, who will thus be robbe'd of their usual holiday; hard upon parents, who, like myself, have made arrangements to take a day's,outing with their family. Should this innovation be insisted upon, it means that parents will either have to forego their long-looked for outing, or do what few right minded parents care to do, viz., give their children a holiday without consulting the authorities. It seems necessary to point out that parents engaged in commercial pursuits have few opportunities of spending a day away from Christchurch with their families, except on public holidays. It behoves schoolmasters, therefore, who have at least three months' holiday in the year, to show some small consideration to those who have little leisure for enjoyment.—l am, &c, PATERFAMILIAS.
