SANITARY PRECAUTIONS.

TO THB BDIXOB. Sib, —About three o’clock this morning I awoke with an uncomfortable sensation of nausea which I at once found was caused by the unwholesome air I was breathing. Unable to account for its origin in any way on the premises, I went out into the garden, and was immediately met by a most foul odour which was evidently being carried by the light easterly wind blowing at the time. I presume the effluvia came from the sandhills, and as rather a heavy fog was passing at the time, it was prevented rising by the thick atmosphere. It is highly desirable that the matter be attended to, and, if what I surmise is not correct, the true cause discovered. I am persuaded that its recurrence would be most prejudicial to the health of the town. — I am, &0., DEBAD. Lower Windmill road, Feb. 12.
