The Clerk was. therefore directed to call for fresh tenders for the work.—The tender* for building concrete arch over Barly’s road wae deferred for farther consideration.—The Clerk wee directed tooall for tender* for the following worke r metalling part of Free’* road, metalling remainder of Tippin|'* road and forming portion of Bait Boundary road ; also toget hand railing put on the bridges at M'OlintonV and Free** corner, and to apply forashihgle reserve near Clew'* rpad.—lt wae decided that a concrete arch ehould be put across the road at Mrs Oharloe* corner.—Aooonnte to the amount of £7Bll* 11 was pasted for payment, and the Boardadjourned. . A meeting of this Board was held on Monday, Nov 18} present—Messrs Mathias (Chairman pro. itm ), C»rdale, Ooutte, /and Adams* The Chairman reported that on Bor 1, there not being enough members present to form a quorum, be, with thebssistanoa of Mr Ooutte, bad opened the tendeu.advertised for sinoe the previous meeting, and had accepted the loweet tender in eaob paie to prevent delay in the work*. They hid considered it advisable not to appoint a Clerk,untilja full meeting of the Board, and had accordingly adjourned to this day.—Applications for Surveyor and C,erk being considered, Mr A. J.
