THE GENERAL ELECTION.
MESSRS JEBSON AND WASON AT KOWAT PASS. A meeting convened by Messrs Jebson and Wason, candidates for the Coleridge District for the General Assembly, was held in the Schoolroom on Thursday evening. The room was quite full. Mr James A, MTlraith occupied the chair. Mr Wason addressed the meeting, and was followed by Mr Jebson, whose views have already been fully reported. The meeting lasted for about four hours,, a’ great portion of the time being taken up with personal explanations in reference to what the differentcaudidates bad been saying about each other. Mr TosSwnii, who was loudly called for, also took part in the meeting. The Chaibman, in acknowledging a hearty vote of thanks to him for the impartial manner in which the proceedings had been conducted, complimented tho meeting as being as orderly and attentive as any meeting over which he had the honour to preside, after which the meeting broke up/
