[bt submarine telegraph.] Wellington, Oct. 15,4.45 p.m At the Court of Appeal the argument in the Otago Daily Times ease has closed. A Wellington ease— Keunard against Featherston—comes on to-morrow. An inquiry into the loss of the Mauukau has been held before Messrs Crawford and Johnston. The evidence shews that the captain was out of bis reckoning, caused by imperfect observations consequent upon thick weather.
