GENTI EM FN —No doubt but that many of the ' Ratepayers will be surprised at my resigning mv seat at the Board of Town Council, so soon after being elected as a member thereof; but in conseauence of the previous resignation of two of the members, and the difficulty in forming a quorum, no business has for soine time been done. 1 there fore have resigned, to give the Chairman the P°^ e * which is vested in him, when there are not sufficient members according to the Ordinance, which is now the case, of calling for an Election to fill up the vacancies. I shall again offer my services to the ratepayers, and trust that, during the brief penod -l have been in office as one of the members of the Town Council, I shall not have lost their confidence.
