At per Ration consisting 1 lb. meat 1 lb. bread 1 lb. potatoes ozs. tea 2 oz. sugar £ oz. salt. The above articles to be of the best quality of their respective kinds, with a fair proportion of the meat to be of the better joints, and to be delivered as required at the Immigration Barracks. CHRISTCHURCH GAOL. No. I—2 lbs. bread, £ lb. soap. No. 2—l lb. bread, lb. potatoes, £ lb. meat, 6 ozs. oatmeal, £ oz. soap. No. 3—l lb. bread, f lb. potatoes, £ lb. meat, 6 ozs. oatmeal, £ oz. salt, £ oz. soap. No. 4—l lb. bread, 1 lb. potatoes, 1 lb. meat, 6 ozs. oatmeal, £ oz. salt, | oz. soap. Each ration to be tendered for separately, viz.:— No. 1, at so much. No. 2, at so much. No. 3, at so much. No. 4, at so much. Other articles, when specially ordered, to be supplied by the contractor at current prices. It is the wish of the Government, for the sake of convenience, to contract with one person for the supply of all the articles enumerated in the above lists. The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender. Tenders to be sealed and endorsed " Tender for Immigration and Gaol Rations." A bond, to the amount of £20, as a personal guarantee for the efficient performance of the contract, will be required.
