Monday, August 4th, 1856. [Spirits and Tobacco quoted in Bond, but all other articles (if dutiable) duty, paid.] SPIRITS.
Trade is at present exceedingly dull, there being little or no demand for goods of any class, and the market is overstocked with all but a few articles.
Births. —On the sth instant, at Lyttelton, the wife of Mr. Augustus Ford, of a son. — On the 7th inst., at LytteUon, the wife of Mr. A. Bavfeild, of a son.
