Provincial Secretary's Office, Christchurch, 24th Nov., 1855. "O~IS Honor the Superintendent di- -*-*- reefs the publication of the following Notice. The Provincial Government are prepared to receive Tenders for leasing the block of Land reserved for thj landing of diseased sheep on Adderly Head, containing 2,530 acres or thereabouts on the following terms. The Lease to be for a term of not more than three years. No sheep to be placed on the run by the Lessee ; —only cat'Je or horses. In case "any diseased sheep shall be ordered to be landed on the run, the Lessee to remove his stick therefrom immediately on receiving notice from the Inspector of Sheep that the run is required by the Government for diseased sheep. The rent for each year to he paid in advance —to be repaid by the Government for the time the Lessee may be deprived of the occupation of the run for the above purpose. Applications to be made in writing to the Provincial Secretary, on or before the Ist of January, 1857, stating the amount of rent offered, and the term of lease required.
