Py^l-IE Provincial Government are prepared to enter into arrangements for the establishment of Steam communication between Lyttelton and the Plains in one of the following ways. Firstly, by the grant of a bonus to any person or company who shall establish such communication, calculated on the loss likely to be sustained. -'- Secondly, by guaranteeing a certain rate of dividend on the capital embarked in the undertaking. Thirdly, by advancing a part of the capital required.
