NOTICE. ~ To the Stockowners of the Canterbury Province. npHE Provincial Council having intimated that in the appointment of a Scab Inspector it would be guided by your recommendation, I hereby beg" to solicit your patronage and support on my behalf. I am aware that I am a stranger to many of you, but acting under the assurance that a long and extensive experience in sheep farming has well qualified me for the office, and also yielding to the wishes of many of the largest stockowners in this Settlement, I have consented to put myself in nomination for the said appointment ; and I hereby give notice that I shall attend at the meeting advertised by you to be holden at the Royal Hotel, in Clmstchurcb, this day, the 3rd of June, nt noon, at which time and place I shall be ready to answer such questions and to give such information as may then and there be required of me.
