MEETING OF STOCKOWNERS.

On Saturday, at 4 p. m., a meeting of the holders of runs in this province, outside the Canterbury block, was held at the Golden Fleece, Christchurch, M. J. Bukke, Esq., in the Chair. Mr. Weld read a Memorial to the Go-vernor-in-Chief, which we will publish next week, if favored with a copy. Mr. Boys remarked that the Memorial, as originally read, contained a mis-state-ment, namely, that there were not even Sketch Surveys of the greater part of the district. He might be supposed responsible for the Survej's, and to a certain degree he was ; bat Colonel Campbell had commanded him to survey at Akaroa only. Messrs. Wet/d, R. Rhodes, Caverhili, and J.-Haxli, strongly disclaimed the wish to throw any imputation on Mr. Boys. Ultimately, the wording of the Memorial was slightly altered at that place, and adopted for signature.
