The blizzard in the south of Scotland is the worst for years Work has been suspended in the shipyards. A Dutch s'jhooner was wrecked at Carnoustie and the crew of six were gradually swept away. The captain lashed himself to the liygiug ana was rescued after twelve hours.
Steamers were wrecked at Yarmouth and Hlyth, but the crews wt-re rescued after suffering terrible experiences. Many small criift are ashore. Top loss of life is serious.
There are floods in Glamorgan and South Tipperary, i'orty acres of a bog near Cast c Rea have slipped and threatens the h.uulet There was a hurricane in the south of Ireland, and several houses were blown down at Queenstown,
