Gibbston.
(lake county press correspondent). March 17. Mr Hendry paid a surprise visit to the school here a short time ago, but as yet no report lias come to hand. The bachelors here gave a dance to their friends last Friday, in lieu of bt. Patrick’s Day, which turned out very successful. Mr M'Laughlin’s String Band supplied the music, which was of first-class order, and Mr Jenkins hud the contract for supplying the eatables, which were provided on a very libaral scale. The attendance was not so large as anticipated, but there was plenty for the limited space of the room. The harvest is practically finished here, and, owing to the favorable season, the crops are above the average. Rain is badly wanted for turnips and grass. A. M. Bailey, a well-known citizen of Eugene, Oregon, says his wife has for years been troubled with chronic diarrhoea and used many remedies with little relief until she tried Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and diarrhoea Remedy, which has cured her sound and well. Give it a trial and you will be surprised at the prompt relief it affords. For sale by Robert Pritchard.
