SMALL DEPREDATIONS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Scarcely a neighbor but has his complaint of these nocturnal depredations, committed by the mean thief, who, rather than purchase a shilling’s worth of timber, robs from his neighbor’s fence the pickets which should keep him out. It is deplorable that so much of this work goes on unmolested. Few fences around the town are free from these small depredations. Surely one example would benefit the community.—l am, etc., Argus.
