In this race a protest was entered by the owner of Maniac against Amelia on the ground that she was not what she was represented to be, and by the owner of Joe Burnett that she was a mare known as Pemoline. Amelia was disqualified for life. The protest against Maniac by the owner of Joe Burnett was dismissed, and the stakes awarded to Maniac. Time, 4min 12sec. Dividend, LlB 12s.
