Gibbston.

(lake county press correspondent.) January 13 1596. The holidays are over for another year and everyone settled down to their usual occupation. On New Year's Eve there were a few pranks played by some of the residents. Amongst other things, they piled sledges and timber across thb main road. Luckily no accident happened, or they might now hove been serving Her Majesty. . The school re-opened last Monday after the holidays with a pretty good attendance. The picnic on New Years Day was very succs3sful. Tne weathe was fine and over 100 people turned ant during the day, and at night the schoolroom was taxed to its utmost to accomodate the dancers and onlookers. Harvesting commenced here to-day.
