Cultivator Trial.
THE MASSEY-HARRIS COMPANY TO THE FRONT AGAIN. On Thursday afternoon last, with a large attendance of farmers present, * Mr C. M. Alves, the Company’s expert, hold a trial of the Massey-Tlarris cultivator on the farm of Mr Martin, Crown Terrace. The machine was worked in fallow and also new ploughed laud, and-it is needless to say that the ' work done was of an excellent nature. ' The only thing, however, that gave Mr Alves cause to regret, was that the machine did not get a trial in a stoney paddock, as this is a very strong point as regards the strength of the tines, which will stand any test. It is worthy of note that a great improvement on the Massey-Harris machines introduced into this district last year, is that they can now be fitted with double ' tines, which can also be added to all old machines at a very small cost. Among the farmers present at the trial we noticed were Messrs W. M'Kibbin, O’Pee Bros., Stephenson Bros., John Jenkins, and W. Linwood, and all were very much pleased with the trial and the splendid work done by the machine. Wo understand Mr Alves has booked several orders in this district.
