PROGRESS LEAGUE
A decision to continue collecting exhibits for tire Arrowtown Museum ;md to ask residents in the district to assist by donating any suitable exhibits was made at a committee meeting of the Arrowtown Progress League, held in the Council Chambers last Wednesday. Those present’ wcz’e —Messrs W. B. Gibb (acting chairman), Messrs E. L. Thompson, L. Stapp, J. H. Douglas and W. J. Shaw (secretary). Mr G. H. Douglas agreed to arrange with Mr G. Ogilvie for the 'collection of the exhibits in the country, and it was agreed that town members of the committee should collect in the town. Mr W. J. Shaw agreed to make arrangements for a suitable building for a Museum. It was left to Messrs E. J. Saunders, G, Ogilvie and W. J, Shaw to draft out a suitable letter stating the reasons why the State highway should be taken through Arrowtown., iPfeei nekt meatifag is to be held on November 19,.
