“SHORT AND SWEET”

American Hair Vogue “ Short and Sweet ” epitomises the present hair vogue in America, longer skirts, buckled shoes, shorter hair—nail the styles of the Tango era, are returning. Many American women are, however, reluctant to part with their longer tresses so the side-sweep is becoming very popular. Waves and curls appear at one side of the head and the hair is swept across the hack —sometimes straight, more often in sleek waves —to be tucked under the curls at the side. This fashion gives the impression of short hair but can be done with almost any length. It fits the returned cloche of the ’twenties and yet keeps the appearance of popular up-sweep.
