PRESBYTERIAN PLANS

Centennial Programme Approved The Centennial Committee of the Presbyterian Synod of Otago and Southland, which met in Dunedin recently, approved a programme of events to take place in Dunedin next year. The programme was:— Sunday, March 14.—Services of thanksgiving and dedication in all Presbyterian churches, and a youth rally in the Town Hall during the afternoon. Thursday, March 18. —The Synod of Otago and Southland to be convened. Friday, March 10. —A women’s reception to be hold in the afternoon at the Town Hall. Saturday, March 20. —Dr John Baillie to give two lectures in the morning. A garden party to be held in the afternoon at Knox College, when it is expected that the Governor-general, Sir Bernard Freyberg, will lay the foundation stone of the new Theological Hall block. Sunday, March 21.—A united Presbyterian service to be held in the Town Hall. Dr John Baillie will be the speaker.

Monday, March 22. Moderator’s reception in Town Hall.
