Masonic Lodge.

The annual meeting and installation ceremony of Lodge Duke of Albany, No. 2073, was held in the Masonic Hall on Tuesday evening the 21st inst. Bro. Geo. "VV. Sim was inducted to the chair of King Solomon by Wor. Bro. A. J. Hill, P.D.G.J.D. who officiated as installing master assisted by G.L. officers. The presenting officers were Wor. Bros. G. H. Sellars, D,G. Std. B. and W. J. Jaffey, who presented the W.M.-elect to the Wor. Installing Master. After the address to the newly-installed master, the following office-bear-ers were invested : — Wor. Bro. Jas. Mackie, 1.P.M.; Bro. M. Meinhold, S.W.; Bro. F. Tucker, J.W. ; Bro. J. H. Woodhouse, Chaplain ; Wor. Bro. A, J. Hill, Treasurer; Wor. Bro. F. R.Eames, Secretary ; Bro. A. M. Hammond, S.D. ; Bro R. Smith, J.D. ; Wor. Bro. W. W. L. Bradly, D. of C. ; Bro. T, W. Dwerryhouse, LG. ; Bro. T. M. Cooper, S.S.; Bro. R. Screaton, J.S. ; Bro. J. H. Constable, Tyler. During the course of the ceremony a very handsome P.M. jewel was presented to Wor. Bro. J. Mackie, by Wor. Bro. J. W. Wiseman, D.J.G.W. on behalf of the Lodge in recognition of the highly successful manner in which he had carried out his duties as I Master during his term of office. — Wor. Bro. Hill was the recipient' of a Secretary's jewel, presented j on behalf of the lodge by Wor. Bro. W. VV. Daw, D.G.S., who spoke very highly of the capable and pleasant manner in which he had performed his duties in the lodge and the great interest he had evinced in its welfare ; and, Wor. Bro. Fames was presented with a Treasurer's jewel,—Wor. Bro. C. H. Jenkins, pres. D.B. of G.P., who presented it for the lodge, making very kindly reference to the manner in which he hsl filled the office of Treasurer. _Vfter the closing of the lodge the rest of the evening was spent in harmony, the usual Masonic toasts were honoured, and a very enjoyable evening was spent.
