DUFF CUP CHANGES HANDS

The Duff Cup changed hands again this year and is now held by G. P. Wilson and Stan Cato. These two players seem to be a fine combination as their winning card of 5 up on Saturday was a repetition of their form the previous week-end. Hotson and Saunders were very close seconds. They reached the turn 4 up and held this advantage to the finish. The following are the results of second round championship matches played to date:—Seniors: Hotson beat Saunders, 6 and 5; Earle beat Hine, 2 and 1; Drew beat Harkness at the 19th; Coutts beat Brainsby at the 19th. Juniors: Wilson beat Duncan, 4 and 3; Thompson beat Prescott 5 and 3. Limit: Seeker beat Ormsby by default, and Dickens beat Strange 1 up. Next Saturday is a free day and the remaining championship second round matches must be played off.
