"I think we have every reason to be proud of the fact that this association has a larger membership than any other branch in the Dominion," said the chairman of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association (Mr. A. E. Haynes) at a meeting of the executive on Monday, reports the Press. It "was announced that the total membership of the Christchurch Association was now 1973. Auckland was next with 1719, followed by Dunedin with 1614 and Wellington with 1103.
