Miss Maisie Irvine spent the weekend at Te Kuiti. .

Mrs. Kinder is the guest of Mrs, T. Lear, of Otorohanga.

Tales of real snow are likely to be brought back by Mr. W. D. Flint, at present a visitor to Dunedin.

Mr. R. C. Tucker, of the Land Development staff, has returned after spending a week in Wellington. Mrs. A. Winder, who has been the guest of Mrs. H. Rothery, of Hangatiki, has returned to Te Rapa.

Mr. C. R. Gallie, of the office staff of the Land Development Department, leaves on Friday on transfer to Rotorua. His place is to be filled by Mr. J. D. Bayne, of Hokitika. Mr. G. R. Andrewes is spending his annual leave with his parents at Oponone, North Auckland.

Friends of Mr. R. Horsfall, late of Te Kuiti and now a resident of Temuka, South Island, will be pleased to note that he has accepted the position of accountant to Mr. L. A. Boswell and will return to Te Kuiti about the end of August.

Mr. N. Cole, who recently returned after being an inmate of the Mater Miseracordae • Hospital, Auckland, has now recovered sufficiently to resume work.
