CONDUCTOR APPOINTED. PRESENTATION OF "MESSIAH." (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, this day. Mr. Stanley Oliver,.. conductor of the Royal Wellington Choral Union, is to be invited to act as guest conductor of Handel's "Messiah" at Auckland on December 11, a presentation by the Wellington Union and the Auckland Choral Society. The decision is the outcome of a suggestion from Wellington that Mr. Oliver conduct the Aucklajnd performance, and Mr. Colin Mustan, the Auckland conductor, should conduct a joint performance in Wellington next year.
